I listen to inspiration FM a lot because they play nice gospel songs, so there I was this sunday afternoon listening as usual and suddenly this song comes on air “No Evil”. I listened to the song and I loved every bit of it. It was rap, it was rock and best of all, it was gospel. I didn’t even know it was done by a Nigerian artiste at the time.

Unfortunately, I tuned in when the song  had already started so I didn’t get the name of the artiste. I loved the song so much that I would practically tune in on sundays just hoping that Dan Foster or Wana Wana would play it again. A few months later, my church David’s Christian Centre, organized a gospel concert which featured BOUQUI, Rooftop MCs, De Witnesses and PITA.  After the concert, I bought PITA’s CD , looked at the back and there it was “No Evil”……the song I had been looking for.

PITA performing during the recent “When Women Worship” conference.

Of course I played all three tracks on the album and enjoyed every bit of them and that’s how I got to know PITA and his soul-touching gospel music.

Guys, there are artistes and there are artistes but If you are  in love with contemporary gospel music, then look no further than Peter “PITA” Linus. His lyrical delivery is awesome and his music is just on point. Believe me when I say the dude can sing.j

His last Album titled “As I am” is just sensational. The 13 track album has great gospel songs back to back. You know how it is when you buy an album and you just like two or three songs…..nah, not this album. Every single track was just on point, from “Imela” to “So amazing” to “Best of Me”, “One man” and “You no dey sleep”. At a point, I practically had his album on auto-replay in my car ‘cos each song had its own unique message. Click here to listen to PITA’s songs.  http://www.reverbnation.com/pitasings

One thing I love about PITA is the fact that he loves being real. No pretending and above all, he just loves the Lord. So much so that he has had to turn down monetary offers to covert from gospel to secular music. A few months ago, PITA miraculously survived a ghastly auto crash which left his arm in a cast for a while but that didn’t dampen his spirit nor deter his determination as he still ministered with the cast on his arm till he fully recovered.

His music has received massive air play from radio and TV  stations across the country. He recently also launched his own mobile application PITapp. Download it here http://www.buildanapp.com/dld/86_da7UWskw/PITA.jad

Have known PITA for a while now, he is d true epitome of God’s grace and a strong believer at that. Personally he has me taught dat d circumstances or d situations u find yourself in life is not a limitation to your not serving God at all. He taught me dat every difficulty or challenge i face is a stepping stone to greater heights. During d phase of his auto crash was when i knew and truely saw dat even with the pains he was going through at that particular point in time, it was not a limitation to his serving and praising God.
In his songs, if u know the true value of good gospel music that inspires and uplifts d soul one would neva stop listening to them. He happens to be a person that puts diversity in his mode of singing.

When I tell people about Pita, they think I exaggerate. Good to know somebody else out there knows and appreciates what is good… and godly!
